Update:

Dear Natatorium Patron:

We are excited to share that the Natatorium Aquatic Center will reopen on August 31, 2026!

We are nearing the end of our extended aquatic shutdown, and we want to share a quick update on where things stand.

If you have been by the Natatorium, you may have noticed water in the pools. That is a good thing! The Leisure Pool’s finish cures underwater, so having the pools filled is an important part of the process.

We are also working through the remaining maintenance and improvement/repair items that were interrupted when we discovered the required structural repairs. Our team is working hard to get everything completed and ready for reopening.

We know this has been a long shutdown, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding. We are excited to see the finish line and get everyone back in the water!

Please mark your calendar: August 31, 2026! We can’t wait to welcome you back.

Thank you for hanging in there with us! We are almost there!

To facilitate alternate swimming options during this extended shutdown, the Parks and Recreation Department has put in place the following:

8/24-8/28-Waterworks will remain open through the extended Shutdown. Monday-Friday, the facility will be open 7:00am-6:00pm with a safety break from 2-4pm each day. Fitness use only. All Natatorium aquatic rules for use of the pools at Waterworks will be in place Monday through Friday. As a reminder, please view our aquatic rules and age guidelines. Slides and water features will be offline during the week; no tubes in the lazy river; concessions will not be available.

Fitness Classes & Fitness Swim At Water Works

Dear Natatorium Patron:

Thank you for your continued loyalty to our outstanding facility! We are grateful to be a partner in your health and wellness routine.

As part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining our facility, our annual aquatic shutdown has been in full swing since last week. We use this time to evaluate the infrastructure of our pools and equipment, make necessary repairs, and invest in improvements.

During this year's aquatic shutdown, we have discovered significant structural issues that require attention before we can reopen the pools. These necessary repairs are for the safety of swimmers and the integrity of our pool facilities. Because of the scope of repair required, the Natatorium must extend the aquatic shutdown. We are working diligently with appropriate contractors to expedite these necessary repairs and hope to minimize the length of this shutdown. We will remain open in our communication on this progress.

The Natatorium will use CFO Alerts to keep members updated on the progress of reopening the aquatic center. If you do not currently receive CFO Alerts via text message, please sign up here.

We recognize this is an inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work on these repairs. It's hard to believe the facility is 23 years old! These repairs will help ensure the Natatorium will be structurally sound for another 23 years and beyond!

To facilitate alternate swimming options during this extended shutdown, the Parks and Recreation Department has put in place the following:

Waterworks will remain open through the extended Shutdown. Monday-Friday, the facility will be open 7:00am-6:00pm with a safety break from 2-4pm each day. Fitness use only. All Natatorium aquatic rules for use of the pools at Waterworks will be in place Monday through Friday. As a reminder, please view our aquatic rules and age guidelines here. Slides and water features will be offline during the week; no tubes in the lazy river; concessions will not be available.

Any Natatorium member will be able to access Waterworks at no additional cost with their current Natatorium pass.
If someone purchases a day ticket at the Natatorium, it will also be valid at Water Works for that day. Day tickets purchased at the Natatorium/WWFAC Monday–Friday are valid at Water Works/Natatorium that same day for fitness use only. Day tickets purchased at the Natatorium Saturday or Sunday are NOT valid at Water Works on weekends. No rainchecks or refunds due to inclement weather.

Waterworks will revert to that facility's usual guidelines and rules for attendance on Saturday and Sunday. Only Waterworks season pass holders and Natatorium members (and up to 2 paying guests per client account for season pass holder/member) will be admitted. Waterworks slides, features and lazy river may be limited during this time and will be based on lifeguard staff.
Waterworks will be a credit card only facility. No cash will be accepted. Concessions will be open with a limited menu, during the Natatorium extended shutdown. Please bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverage (no glass containers) if you wish.

Annual Natatorium Aquatics Center Patrons, we recognize this disrupts your regular exercise activities and an outdoor facility may not be an option. In light of this, you may request an extension of your Natatorium pass for up to 14 days by stopping at the Natatorium front desk between August 17 - September 27. The staff will be able to authorize one extension period per pass holder, and only upon an in-person request submitted during regular business hours of the Natatorium.

Warm regards,
