NATATORIUM HVAC & MECHANICAL SYSTEMS UPGRADE IN 2024:

As the Natatorium crowns its 20 year anniversary, our major mechanical equipment is nearing the end of its life cycle, as anticipated.  Therefore, the Natatorium has partnered with Leopardo Energy to do a major overhaul and replace nearly 100 pieces of equipment including HVAC units, chillers, dehumidification units, exhaust fans, the boiler plant and much more in 2024.

Phase 1 - February - May 2024

  • A crane will be on site periodically lifting equipment on and off the lower roof.  Sections of the main lot and community wing lot will be closed at times; and Nat foot traffic directed to alternative door.
  • The crane is scheduled to be on site approximately 4-5 different times on which these days the parking lot or entrance may be impacted.  Member impact on the interior should be minimal.

Phase 2 - August - September

  • In August, a massive 300 ton crane will be erected on site on the community wing/side parking lot. This lot will be closed for a full week.
  • During this period, the Natatorium will be closed for 3 full days per OSHA standards, while equipment is lifted on and off the upper roof.  Both the side and main lots will be closed.
  • For approximately one month, the Natatorium Aquatics Center will be closed for air quality control while Dehumidification units are installed.
