ARC Lifeguard Certification Course
The r.24 Lifeguarding program prepares lifeguards to prevent, protect and respond to aquatic emergencies. Our nationally accepted curriculum has been refreshed with modernized tools and includes more active hands-on learning. This revitalized program aligns with the most current scientific insights and best practices, validated by the American Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council.

*Fee reduced for those who successfully complete the course and sign on to work with the City of Cuyahoga Falls Parks & Recreation Deptartment, working an average of 8 hrs at the Natatorium/15-30 hrs at Waterworks per 2 week pay period. View Work Agreement
Lifeguard Instructor
The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor course is to train instructor candidates to teach the basic-level American Red Cross Lifeguarding course.
Prerequisites
- Be at least 17 years old on or before the final scheduled session of the course.
- Possess a current basic-level certification in Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED.
- Successfully complete the online Introduction to the Lifeguarding Instructor Course prior to the precourse skills session via the class roster and online content completion status report.
- Obtain all instructor and participant materials before entering the first session of the instructor course.

Fees: $250.00
Lifeguard Review Course
A recertification course without having to take the full content course. Current lifeguards who will expire or have expired in the past 30 days and wish to maintain their certifications and skills. If you are more than 30 days past your expiration date you will not be permitted to participate in this course without written consent from the American Red Cross.
